Southampton based cruise ship Oceana, is set to host a live spectacular New Year’s Eve party whilst it stops over at the beautiful destination of Funchal, Madeira during a 14 night trip to the Canaries.
BBC Radio 2 will host an outside performance by Dutch pop and jazz singer Caro Emerald, in what will be the first ever live BBC performance from a P&O cruise ship. The event will start from 11pm and Caro Emerald will be performing songs from her 2010 multi-platinum album Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Floor and her 2013 studio album The Shocking Miss Emerald.
The P&O cruise ship Oceana will depart Southampton on the 21st December and will visit La Coruna in Spain, Agadir in Morocco and various ports in the Canary Islands before stopping over for a New Year’s Eve jazz party in stunning Madeira.
The 77,499 tonne, 11 deck Sun-class cruise ship Oceana entered service in 2002 and has plenty of facilities for passengers to enjoy such as 12 bars, 4 restaurants, gym, casino, golf simulator and a 530 seat theatre.
